This Cookie Statement explains what cookies are, which cookies Sovayze uses, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help websites remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or consent choices.

3. Essential vs. Analytics Cookies
Essential cookies are required for the site to function correctly (e.g. remembering your consent choice) and are always active.
Analytics cookies help us understand visits per day, general location (country/city, derived from IP), and device/browser type in aggregate. These are only used if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner.
Your consent choice is stored as a cookie for 12 months, after which the banner will be shown again so you can confirm or change your preference. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by supporting browsers or extensions: if your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a decline for analytics cookies, without you needing to interact with the banner.
4. Managing Your Preferences
You can accept or decline analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. No analytics cookie is set and no analytics script is loaded until you make that choice - if you decline, the site works exactly as it does if you accept.
We record your choice with the date it was made and the version of this policy in force at the time, so we can show what you consented to. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser or extension.
You can also clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, or turn on Global Privacy Control in a supporting browser, which will show the banner again on your next visit.
5. App Storage Technologies (Not Cookies)
The Sovayze mobile app itself does not use browser cookies. It uses functionally equivalent secure device-storage mechanisms solely to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as display currency or onboarding status). These are never used for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. See the app's in-app Privacy Policy, Section 3, for details.
6. Third-Party Data Processors
We use IP geolocation providers (ipwho.is, ip-api.com) to resolve an approximate country/city from your IP address for this website's analytics. This is a server-side lookup and does not involve setting cookies on your device.
Note: the app's own regional-pricing lookup uses ipwho.is only. SARATHI Live, the app's in-trip chat companion, and Restaurant Search's "Use my current location" both rely on device permissions (location, and - separately - camera/photo access for TravelNoteBook) rather than cookies. See the app's in-app Privacy Policy for full details on what each permission is used for.
